Please plan to join our intermediate / advanced workshop on Thursday evenings 7:00-8:30 PM. (This will not be your daddy's meditation.)
Format: 3 periods (25 min) sitting meditation (zazen); 2 intervals (5 min) walking meditation (kinhin):
Period #1: Detailed Demonstration / Explanation of Zen and Zazen Method:
• Yogic-Aerobic Zazen (stretching, breathing exercises)
• Physical aids (equipment, swaddling and bondage methods)
• Massage and Kyosaku techniques
Period #2: Silent Meditation
Period #3: Q&A Dialog
Some of these approaches are traditionally taught, others non-traditional. All are meant to help you find workarounds to the barriers of practice (physical, emotional and mental resistance, social conflicts, sleep, etc.).
There is no fixed fee for this program, but donations (dana) will be welcome. Your generosity constitutes a significant portion of Roshi's income, and is much appreciated.
