Dharma Talk: On the Delights of Aging, with a Backward Glance at the Teachings of Tofu Roshi

Guest Speaker: Susan Moon

SUSAN MOON is a writer and lay Zen teacher in the Soto lineage of Suzuki Roshi. Her books include the memoir This Is Getting Old; the groundbreaking collection, The Hidden Lamp: Stories from Twenty-Five Centuries of Awakened Women, with Flor­ence Caplow; and most recently, Alive Until You’re Dead: Notes on the Home Stretch. She lives in Berkeley, California, and practices at the Berkeley Zen Center and with the Everyday Zen Sangha. Norman Fischer entrusted her as a lay teacher in 2005. For many years she has taught and led Zen and writing retreats in the Bay Area, around the country, and internationally.
