Elliston Roshi is guiding teacher of the Atlanta Soto Zen Center and abbot of the Silent Thunder Order. He is also a gallery-represented fine artist expressing his Zen through visual poetry, or “music to the eyes.” Contact Sensei on Twitter at @TaiunM.

American Life as Zen Practice
Through work, play, chores, hobbies, the intimacy of relationships, and the many rituals of household life, we can fully express the practice of Zen. The rigors may be different from the monastic path, but they are no less rigorous. Establishing this day-to-day life as the foundation of practice is the grand project of American Zen.
